Elections & Polls — Creating One

Elections vote for people to hold positions; Polls ask general questions and collect answers. Both use the same 5-step setup.
Where: My Account → Clubs → "Events," then create an Election or Poll.

Step 1 — Info

1. Type the Title.
2. If Election, choose a Purpose — "Nomination" lets people apply themselves instead of you listing fixed candidates.
3. Write a Description.
4. If Poll, optionally turn on "Allow other clubs a glimpse?"

Step 2 — Dates

1. Set Voting Opens & Closes.
2. Set when it should become visible (can be earlier than voting opening).

Step 3 — Rules

1. Poll: choose who can vote (Club members only / Selected members / Anyone on the platform); if Selected, search and add specific members. Choose Results visibility: Always shown, or Hidden until voting closes.
2. Election: fixed — always club-members-only, always anonymous.
3. Either: notify members when voting opens; optional results-announcement note.

Step 4 — Q&A

1. Poll: add Questions, each with its own Answer Options.
2. Regular Election: add Positions (like "President"), list Candidates for each.
3. Nomination Election: add Positions people apply for themselves.

Step 5 — Review & Publish

1. Check everything, then tap Publish.
