76th CATHEX continues long-running St. Catharines club-show tradition

The 76th CATHEX was scheduled for 31 January at the Grantham Lions Club in St. Catharines, Ontario. The event advertised nine to ten dealers with free admission and parking.

A club circuit, lunch counter and children’s area broadened the programme beyond commercial tables. Circuit books can make lower-priced material accessible, while a dedicated children’s space supports first encounters with collecting.

The show’s 76th edition demonstrates the durability of volunteer-led philately. Collectors documenting club history should preserve programmes, covers, photographs and officer records alongside the stamps exchanged at the event.
