PostNL’s Birds of Saba sheet opens 2026 Experience Nature programme

PostNL issued Experience Nature – Birds of Saba on 5 January as a sheet of ten different denomination-1 stamps. The birds include the red-billed tropicbird, bananaquit, brown pelican, osprey and Antillean crested hummingbird.

Frank Janse designed the sheet and Koninklijke Joh. Enschedé printed it by four-colour offset. It continues PostNL’s multi-year Caribbean Netherlands biodiversity series, with later 2026 Saba subjects planned around butterflies, underwater life and flora.

The ten-design sheet is the primary collectible unit, so detached stamps lose part of the ecological and design context. Collectors should record whether they hold the sheet, presentation pack or first-day cover.
