BNAPS takes exhibits and seminars online for its January virtual conference

The British North America Philatelic Society announced the return of its virtual exhibition and conference for 31 January. The online format combined digital exhibits with live seminars, allowing collectors to participate without travelling to a physical convention.

Virtual presentation is particularly useful for specialised Canadian and British North America material because collectors are widely dispersed. High-quality scans can reveal plating features, postmarks and routes to a broad audience, while live sessions allow questions that a static exhibit page cannot answer.

Online access does not replace physical inspection: colour, paper, gum, embossing and repairs can be difficult to judge on screen. Nevertheless, archived exhibits and talks can become durable research resources if captions, references and images remain accessible. Collectors should retain programme and speaker details alongside any notes or citations made from the sessions.
