San Marino announces Gilberto Rossini school-architecture miniature sheet

Poste San Marino has announced “Scuole per una comunità”, a miniature sheet honouring the school architecture of engineer Gilberto Rossini. The issue is scheduled for 21 September 2026 and contains one €0.95 postage stamp and three accompanying labels.

The stamp depicts Cailungo nursery school. The labels show Murata primary school and Cà Caccio school, including an image of the latter under construction. Rossini headed San Marino’s State Technical Office from 1961 to 1996 and designed schools intended to connect with their surrounding environment.

The issue comprises 15,000 miniature sheets measuring 140 × 70 mm. The stamp and labels measure 50 × 30 mm, with perforation 14 × 14. Cartor Security Printing is producing the sheets by offset using black, a Pantone colour and invisible yellow fluorescent ink.

A QR code links to Massimo Salvucci’s documentary “Un’idea di Città”, which explores Rossini’s work. His wider career included the Cinema Teatro Turismo and supervision of construction of the Church of Borgo Maggiore, designed by Giovanni Michelucci.
