Australia Post issues Mammal Emblems Part Two featuring four state and territory animals

Australia Post released Mammal Emblems Part Two on 1 September 2026, completing its two-part presentation of official mammal emblems from Australia’s states and territories. The new issue features the animal emblems of Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory and is available in both gummed and self-adhesive formats, with associated first-day covers and a minisheet.

The issue follows Mammal Emblems Part One, which covered the remaining Australian states and territories. Australia Post describes the new release as a domestic and international rate issue, reflecting the role of the depicted animals not only as wildlife subjects but also as formal symbols of their jurisdictions. The self-adhesive range includes $1.85 stamps, while the overall product family also includes gummed stamps and a minisheet presentation.
