Polish Post issues three-stamp ‘Fruits of Our Orchards’ miniature sheet

Poczta Polska placed its 2026 “Fruits of Our Orchards” issue into circulation on 24 August, presenting three fruit varieties associated with Polish cultivation. The stamps feature the Polka raspberry, Tisel blackcurrant and Biały Triumf gooseberry, combining agricultural heritage with naturalistic botanical imagery.

The miniature sheet contains six stamps arranged as two complete sets of three, with two labels positioned at the sides of the composition. Each stamp carries the letter denomination B, which corresponds to the postage for an unregistered domestic priority letter in the S format. The stamps measure 51 by 39.5 millimetres and were printed by offset on fluorescent paper in blue, yellow, red, two blacks and gold. The announced print quantity is 90,000 of each stamp.

The sheet was developed with Poland’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the National Research Institute of Horticulture in Skierniewice. Its three subjects were selected as recognizable cultivated varieties rather than generic fruit. The Polka raspberry is valued as a dessert variety, Tisel blackcurrant is associated with vitamin C and processed products, and Biały Triumf is a traditional pale green-yellow gooseberry grown in gardens and plantations.

For thematic collectors, the issue connects food, horticulture, agriculture and plant varieties while retaining precise identifiers for each design. The two-set miniature-sheet arrangement and lateral labels create collectable formats beyond the individual stamps. Fluorescent paper, the multicolour offset specification and the use of a letter-rate denomination are also useful distinguishing features when comparing mint sheets, used examples and later reprints or look-alike products.

The issue is available through Polish post offices and the postal operator’s online store. Associated products include folders, three maximum cards and three commemorative cards, with several products limited to 400 or 600 copies. The official notice does not identify the individual designer in its published text, and availability of the lowest-quantity products may change quickly after release.
