This 25c. definitive occupation stamp (German and Italian) was issued by Ionian Islands, in present-day Greece, on 22 October 1943. The theme of the stamp is Postal History (Occupation stamps). The stamp has the following printed text identified - "Ovpt. Isole Jonie in Black Ink, Handstamped Ovpt. EAAAE 2 . X . 43 in Carmine Ink".

The deep green colour stamp was printed using photogravure, in about 3,000 copies. It has a perforation of 14 with a crown/cypher watermark. It has water-activated gum.
