This 1gr. definitive postage vertical stamp was issued by Germany in 1872. This vertical stamp was designed by Schilling with the Coats of Arms theme. The stamp has the following printed text identified - "Deutsche Reichs-Post, Groschen 1".

The rose colour stamp was printed using letterpress (embossing (centre), typography) on wove paper. It has a perforation of 13.5 × 14.25 with a stamp size of 22 × 25 mm, sheets of 150 stamps and no watermark. It has water-activated gum.
